For the lover that'll never be

I know you are a man of true words for you hold in your hands a book of God which I partly believe in. I would have given love to you because I feel comfortable with you in silence and grief. But I cannot betray the book of God that I carry in my heart. Book of the words of Allah. For if I betray it I will betray me and every particle that holds this world together. For love is surely a beautiful thing but it comes and goes, it lives and dies but trust is what I have built my universe around with those words of Allah that I carry in my heart and trust is like a grain of sand if it is washed away it will never come back to the same shore again.
If I reach you , you might reach me back. And I'm afraid that I'll astray and betray myself. For love is capable of bringing courage and bravery in you but love brings harmony and agony at the same time. I'm ready to love but I'm not ready to let go of this grain of sand that I keep so close to me to be washed away only knowing that it will never come back. I can't let you near me. For the power you hold you don't know yourself. And that power can affect me and provoke me in so many ways.
